Pre-Authorized Payments

The R.M. of St. Clements is pleased to offer many payment options for the taxpayers’ convenience, one of which is automatic payments on property taxes.  With pre-authorized payments (PAP), you don’t have to write cheques to cover your property tax payments.  Payments can be made automatically through your bank or financial institution account.

TAX FAQS

Simply complete and sign the "Pre-Authorized Payment Enrollment Form".  Return it to the RM office by postal mail, facsimile or email.  Alternately, forms can be sent to you via postal mail, facsimile or email.

You must include either:

- a void cheque, or

- a fully encoded deposit slip from your bank from which the necessary account and coding information can be obtained.

Please note:

-  If more than one signature is required on your bank account, be sure that all required signatures are included on the enrollment form.

-  Payments can be made monthly, quarterly or annually.  Payments are processed on the 20th of each month for ‘Monthly’, the 20th of November, February, May and August for ‘Quarterly’, and the 20th of October for ‘Annual’.

-   PAP arrangements continue uninterrupted unless the RM office receives notification in writing to stop the payments or change the amount.

-   If there are any changes (new enrollment, changed payment amount, cancellation of enrollment) – we must notify our bank by the 12th of the month.

-   PAP arrangements remain in place as set up until the RM office receives instruction in writing to change the arrangements.

-   Monthly / Quarterly Payment? – specify the payment amount you wish to make.

-  Annual Payment? – the RM will process a payment in the amount of the actual amount of taxes due for the current year.
