Welcome to St. Clements!

As the Municipal Mayor of St. Clements I am honored to welcome you to our beautiful community. We hope you come to visit and stay for as long as you want, as we believe we have much to offer you.

Starting in the Northern region, St. Clements has a strong growing cottage community. Areas such as Grand Marais, which is located along side Grand Beach Provincial Park, offer up one of the most beautiful sunsets, accompanied with some of the whitest sand you have ever seen. This area has been listed as one of the top beaches in the world. Certainly a must to see!

As we travel south along Lake Winnipeg, we get a slice of the cottage life offered through the entire south basin of the Lake and we get an understanding why so many have made it their summertime home or even their fulltime home. With nature all around and the offerings of water sports, walking, hiking, and cross-country skiing, this is relaxation and peace of mind at its best!

Throughout the area, one sees a strong agricultural presence, with every thing from grain to market gardening to honey farming. There is no shortage of land to help grow the crops we eat and the community farmers of the area are great people. Make sure you stop and buy some honey and vegetables on the way home and get a taste of the hospitality they offer up to their visitors and friends.

As we make our way closer to the city we come across communities such as Libau. Libau is a small community with a great heart. The community center is always working hard with great events for all to attend. Check their calendar and then yours for a event which you would truly enjoy.

East Selkirk is the main village of St. Clements and is located across the river from its neighbor, the City of Selkirk. East Selkirk is poised to grow as the recent announcement of full services coming to the area. A second school is being built, and East Selkirk is certainly a community for young families to come, live and raise their children.

Lastly South St. Clements, which is closest to the City of Winnipeg, offers up rural living, minutes away from the City’s perimeter. The area is covered with beautiful small acreage homes offering residents a taste of country, minutes away from the city.

As you can hopefully now understand, St. Clements has so very much to offer!

So come and visit, you are welcome to stay as long as you like!!!!!

Thank you

Mayor Steve Strang
